Tom Walker, Pastor

Our pastor, Tom Walker, came to Hebron in December of 2005. "We fell in love with the people and the area the very first time we visited," Pastor Tom said. "We are thankful that God has called us to Hebron Baptist Church. We have been here nearly five years and we love it more than we did when we first came. We look forward to a long relationship with God's family here."

Pastor Tom and his wife have been married for 17 years and have three children. "Cindy is a true ministry partner. She keeps me focused and is a great encouragement to me. She is gifted as a teacher and as a counselor. I am blessed to have her by my side as we seek to do God's will."

“I am truly excited by the way I have seen God work through his people here. There is a spirit of fellowship that can only be the work of God. There is a heart for missions that can only come from a Godly compassion. There is a love that exists that can only be inherited from our Father, God. I hope you will come out and meet the people who are Hebron Baptist Church.”

Pastor Tom is a graduate of Southeastern Baptist Theological Seminary in Wake Forest, NC. He has a Bachelors degree in Biblical Studies. He feels his spiritual gifts are preaching and teaching. "I love to preach God's word in a way that people can understand what it means and how it applies to them. The goal of my preaching is to preach "real truth for real life". Wednesday Night Bible Study is one of the most enjoyable parts of ministry. It gives me the opportunity to teach in an interactive setting," the pastor says.

Pastor Tom describes his ministry objective as "to equip God's people to live victoriously in this world through a deeper relationship with their Creator and Lord and to wait with anticipation for the return of Jesus Christ."
